Shipping Container 3

The Components

There are three main sprues of bits.

Before You Start

Before you start, it is a good idea to dry fit the components to make sure you know where everything will go. It is also a good idea to group all of the components into their sub assemblies where possible.

The last good piece of advice I can offer is to wipe the sprues with a warm damp cloth to remove the tacky residue that is sometime a by product of the cutting process (something I first heard about from the Terrain Tutor).

The Build

Remove the bits from the sprues and group them into separate piles.

There are three outer rings for the main container. Two of the container panels have three marker lines and circles, these should be positioned as show below, on opposite sides of the outer rings.

When all of the container panels are in place, it should end up as below.

The two end panels can be fitted as shown below, make sure that raised edge of the end panels are both the same way up.

To fit the bracing sections, you can either glue them in place before adding the second end panel, or they can be flexed and gently bent into place at one end.

Repeat the process for the second brace section.

The two decorative plates are finally fitted to each end, make sure they go on as shown as below as this ensures that containers will stack on top of each other.

The finished container should look like the image below.

The image below shows the container upside down, this lip allows containers to stack.

The image below shows two stacked containers interlocking.
